I think the fact that Star Trek went back to it's roots where a starship is exploring (and finding its way home) not knowing what's in the next system them come across.

I admit I've only seen the first season so far, but I like the way they made janeway tough without making her TOO tough. She's very beliveable.

I really like the Doctor. I also enjoyed Seven of Nine's various outfits/uniforms. She was smokin'!!

I just hope Robert Picardo isn't an uptight asshole on Atlantis.

I think it's been under rated as a series. I agree that it was nice to return to the roots of "out travelling the stars". I also think that the added tension of the need to get home was very compelling. The "got to get someplace" genre is one of my favorites in movies (think Warriors or even Cloverfield). I think Janeway is just fine as Captain and I'm so glad that Genvieve Bujould didn't work out because blech! I also thought that they had one of the best series finales I've seen.

yes, I remember a Star Trek Magazine special about that. They said she just "couldn't take the pressure" TV is grueling. I also agree on the finale. Many seem to hate it, yet it was very fulfilling for the series. I am only disapointed that it didn't leave place for a movie. I would love to have had a Voyager movie.

I liked the finale overall. I just wish there was a little more storytelling showing the crew of Voyager return to their family or friends. I would have like a scene showing Harry giving his Mom and Dad a group hug, or Tom being ebraced by his father.
